I had a bit of time on my hands today, for some reason, so an epic curry it was.

Mirchi chicken with tarka dhal, onion relish, carrot raita, spicy vegetable rice and a couple of glasses of white.

That looks very nice indeed. I must do a curry. I had a Waitrose Mardas lined up last week but what looked like a green growth on it put me off.

Crispy chili beef, sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice. All homemade so no bright red sauce! It took a while but got nothing else to do!

That looks lovely too and would be my first choice Chinese.

I have chicken salad tonight. Ought to be grateful really.

Vegetables Tian. I wonder if its worth the effort sometimes

I have a mandolin but find I am getting more consistent slices with a simple Victorinox tomato knife

Happy with that. Chicken has been marinading in Harissa paste for 24 hours and the Vegetable Tian looks ok. Now just banging it in the oven

All the details of this are on my Big Green Egg thread but I've just got to pop this pic of my first ever Beer Can Chicken on here as well because I'm so pleased with it.

We live very near Newhaven and the quayside fish shop is open so while my wife does the main shopping in Sainsburys I go down there to pick up some nice just fresh landed fish, we've had these in the last week.

Sea Bass with a Puttanesca sauce, celeriac chips and broccoli.

Plaice fillets with confit turnip slices, green beans and a lemon, caper, butter and parsley sauce.

I put a bit of effort into Easter lunch...

Smoked salmon, blinis, cucumber and dill/mustard sauce.

Sous vide noisette of lamb, with potato galette, onion puree, mushy minted peas and green beans

Mrs AudiS5B9's passion fruit profiteroles.

Love the starter

All this good weather I wish I was down on the coast, I can imagine that tasting fantastic with the sea breeze.
