The two lane drive through ordering thing does my head its like lucky dip if you are going to get queue jumped. You pick a lane just to find the car in front orders £50 worth of food and are sat at the screen for five minutes then to watch 2 cars that turned up 10 minutes after you drive though the other screen. Then when you do get though you have the pleasure of sitting and waiting for the cars that turned up after you pay and be served.

Im just going to sit back from now on and only move forward when then next screen is clear.

Grand Big Mac was disappointing. It's just a wider Big Mac using the thin patties, I thought it was going to be two quarter pounders. I suppose 741 calories is enough for one burger!

I'm not sure about the mega mac. Ate two big Macs before and found the orange sauce a bit overwhelming

Once you have purchased your drive through food where do you eat it? It amazes me how many people use the drive through then sit in their cars in the car park and eat. Why don’t people just park and go in the store. In the old days of food in warmers you always got fked with the cold st at the drive through because they hoped you would be miles away before you ate it.

My son wanted McDonald's for dinner so I selfishly agreed as it gave me an excuse to try the Grand Mac.

Except I couldn't, it was unavailable. They sold out yesterday and they won't have any back in until Saturday.

What the pissing fk Alex? Tell your stupid company to sort their st out!
They were a bit more popular than anticipated it appears. Looks like restaurants will be restocked and should be back to normal tomorrow (Friday) evening.

Amazing presentation as ever hehe

It was ok.... it’s what it says on the tin.... a Big Mac but bigger. Problem is I think there comes a point where there is too much bread and I’m sure quite a bit of the 700 calories comes from that.

Fries were st. Limp and light coloured tasted undercooked. I wish the big chains would double fry their fries like five guys

Afraid not but after almost 11 years service I get quite well looked after. I don't have a huge amount to do with the day to day running of restaurants so only pass on insensitive information that gets communicated internally.

The grand mac is just the old sized big mac.
Big mac certainly has gotten smaller.

So whats the deal with the fries? Have they reduced the cooking time for some reason?

Well you are the unofficial spokesperson on here now! The replies on here do give sense that mcd is important to people. Which it is in the context of a cheapish hot tasty treat meal...

When can we expect to be able to add as well as remove items when customising on the new order screens?

Would be ace.

No they haven't. The size of the standard McDonald's burger has never changed.

Alex, can you ask them to make something that's on par with BK's Bacon Double XL? Then I wouldn't have to go to BK.

HU is in East Finchley next door to the main HQ.
