I want to know where everyone is getting cheaper and better fast food from.
Aye that, I winced the first time I got a maccyDs and the total was over £20 but my average takeaway spend has been up around £40 for at least 2 years. For 2 people btw, I'm not eating £40 of takeaway food myself President Merkin said:

My contention is what they're doing isn't sufficient irrespective of what they charge. They're wildly successful, so I'm clearly in a minority of me. But it appears we also have a deadly & worsening obesity problem in this country, so maybe we ought to be demanding more of ourselves as well as our food outlets. Anyway, back to the fatty treats.
Personally, for me the crapness is the attraction. Things can be crap in a good way, like a bad yet amusing movie. Honestly, 90% of my meals are healthy, like salmon, green bean salad with nuts and seeds, on quinoa. Sometimes dying for a bit of crapness, like a Wenzel’s sausage roll. Goes down a treat. I did try to go 100% healthy but I kept staring at my local Wenzel’s on the way to work like a rabid dog, or rubbernecking my local McDonald’s as I drove by. Better to scratch that itch now and again.

Can't argue with that. I have a mate who's fond of saying excess in moderation, which I think is nice turn of phrase to describe letting loose now & again. Fwiw I'm similar to you, genuinely can't remember the last time I ordered a takeaway & McDonalds etc. will be once every couple of months if that but if the news is to be believed, we're the outliers.

I know it as: Everything in moderation. Including moderation.I still have a breakfast roll meal a couple of times a month.
No where else does anything similar.
However I rarely get a day time meal now.
Its stupid expensive and the order is either wrong or some part of the order is poorly cooked etc. (almost always undercooked fries)
They get so busy with uber etc that quality just falls off a cliff after 730am.
I tend to roll through about 630am on a Saturday and its usually spot on and they dont park you up.
Go through at 9pm on a Friday night and you might as well take a tent and a camping stove!

Wife is determined to have me chauffeur her to get a raspberry and white chocolate pie. Anyone had one? Any good?
And for me to get one,is the raspberry actually fruit lumps or a purée?
Edit: just got one, really nice purée and chocolate, but a lot smaller than the usual pies

And yet for me i find it easier and simpler as i always needed to order a burger without mustard and onions so now with a few simple taps i can have a fresh burger cooked to my spec rather than hoping the person taking the order pressed the right buttons.
No matter how you order a burger,, it getts assembled form a tray of precooked patties out of a tray in a warmer.. Customising for freshness is a myth ever since they changed how their restaurants work..President Merkin said:

Is it true the breakfast wrap is back?
I can confirm it’s true as I had one this morning Fingers crossed, this is a shock that'll bring it back full time.
Haven’t had a McDonald’s in a few months, but I drove past one earlier and saw a sign for a white chocolate and raspberry pie and also a Frank’s hot sauce chicken burger. Both sound excellent so I’ll have to try these before they undoubtedly disappear in a few weeks.
Did have a Wendy’s the other week though - not as good as the ones in the US, but not bad at all. Falls somewhere between McDonald’s and Five Guys for price and tastiness and I’ll definitely have another when passing (which won’t be for ages!).
