Mcdonalds new ordering system
Discussion
I was talking to a staff member at my local Mcdonalds this evening. Apparently they sold 500 Grand Macs the first day and ran out Friday and Saturday nights. Also effecting stock levels of other items as so many people are coming in and buying other things when they are told the Grand Mac isn't available. One of the other branches in town almost had to shut early Saturday night as they almost ran out of fries. Her branch had run out of normal Big Macs tonight although they still had Grans Macs available.
Apparently the delivery company are struggling to keep branches supplied on time. Her branches delivery for Sunday night has slipped back to 3am, when there only 3 members of staff in and it needs 2 handle the delivery.
Had a Grand Mac tonight, it was nice but I would have preferred a Big Tasty with Bacon.

Reference the Drive-Thru, McDonalds have always had the problem of not giving you what you've ordered and they NEVER give you barbecue sauce to go with the nuggets.
Easy solution, you (they) stick a barcode on every item, you then scan each item as it goes in the bag, it's worked this way in supermarkets for many years, so why are people still getting fked over when you have items missing from your order and no sauce to go with your nuggets?!

Knew it was going to be that clip Classic They should have a vending machine style system were the food comes out instantly as soon as you pay. Turn over is quick so food wouldnt be hanging around in the machine.

in a hurry on saturday was persuaded to grab a McDonalds as quick food. Had the grand big mac and a signature burger.
as bad as i remember. repeats on you all day and makes you feel sick after eating. grand big mac just tatsed of sweet bread and sauce. signature of fake bread and overdone basic meat like product.
how anyone can eulogise about uk mcdonalds is beyond me.
not great by any means but for cheap fast food from memory BK and KFC are far superior.

If you're saying that from memory you're in for a shock next time you go to BK or KFC. Both are very hit'n'miss at the best of times but have got worse of late, especially BK.Taco Bell has promise and are expanding in UK, but seem to fall short on the "Taco" part of their name, needing more meat options like pulled pork, blackened fish etc

Taco Bell are part of the Yum Group, the same that owns KFC. They don't seem to have a particularly aggressive acquisitions programme at the momentTaco Bell has promise and are expanding in UK, but seem to fall short on the "Taco" part of their name, needing more meat options like pulled pork, blackened fish etc

Fries were like warm at best.
Slightly disappointed......
As an employee I'm a big critic if I don't get hot fries in one of our restaurants, but I can't actually remember when I last had to return them for being cold. As Kev F said, they don't travel well and quickly cool if you don't eat them soon after receipt.Slightly disappointed......
If they're not up to scratch, send them back and you'll get some fresh ones.

BK is now awful, in my experience. It used to be really nice food and nice service. Now both are terrible.I think that BK got taken over by some venture capital company that specialises in asset stripping and cutting costs to the bone and then selling the company on. It really shows. I don't go there any more.
