Indeed they are. I preferred the old days before the patties were hot held prior to being made up and my plain cheese would guarantee a freshly made burger with melting cheese. That's not a big moan though, I still love a plain cheese!
Yeah, McDonalds are losing their way with that, IMO. Yeah, have the fancy stuff made up on order but the staples should be racked up like the olden days.

How many is that order intended to feed out of interest.

Re the mountainn on the plate, assuming I'd been fitted with crampons I'd have been in a coma too.
Blimey.
Wouldn't normally order as much but spent day finishing off the Christmas fizz, so seemed a good idea at time!

What's on the plate is only a half portion, other half had the same plate full.

What was left was mixed up and sufficiently stuffed back into containers for round two today, after that the dogs will polish off the rest

Certain UK branches will make you a double quarter pounder if you ask nicely at the counter. It is a bit hit and miss though - I've had it multiple times from the Hunts Cross branch in Liverpool, but the Speke and Liverpool Central branches won't do them.
The best bit is that being a special order, you get it fresh and juicy with melted cheese and a firm bun, rather than the cold dry limp examples that have been sat on the rack
Yeah this was straight out of the kitchen no hanging around was really good as far as McD stuff goes

Maybe in the UK but certainly not all over the world. I was in Hungary when I ordered the Double McRoyal that we are talking about and they definitely still had racks

they can die, serious stuff.

''Any member of the Allium family—onions, garlic, leeks, and chives are the most common reported to cause toxicity—contains N-propyl disulfide,” says Dr. Ann Hohenhaus, staff doctor at NYC's Animal Medical Center. “This compound damages the oxygen-carrying substance found in red blood cells called hemoglobin.” ''

I had no idea about that! Knew about chocolate (and so does he, now, after a trip to the vet and some charcoal) but had no idea about onions - thanks!

Alastair Cook once sent Letters from America and here is a food version from a friend over there showing us 2x fish taco for $1 each

I have to say that beats one Mcdonald fishy fish thing for about £2.99 which is a complete rip off

He pointed out the down side though that for $1 the fish was very thin and the batter took up some of the bulk.

Still, rather 4 of those than 1 Mcdonald effort.

I showed him one picture from this thread and he said

"that picture is repulsive"

Thanks for the input, although my two large healthy mastiffs do enjoy a varied diet, and wouldn't agree with that, it's a treat, not all the time!

Deep fried artery clogging goodness. The chilli sauce is always decent too.
