Ok just noticed some small print in the chinese menu. Under English dishes where it lists four omelettes, it says "all include chips" but I can't see that you can order just a portion.

Bombay Aloo nearest to chips.
I've never heard anywhere that didn't do chips before.
But I am Northernish

When I asked on facebook why indian restaurants have salt and pepper, one lancashire based friend said
"It's fer me chips"

Once living in Thame, and now Oxford, I'm familiar with 2 on the list.

Atalay's is genuinely an amazing kebab, dirty, no, but very good taste and quality. The queue of 15 people from 6pm to 11pm proves that.

Hassan's is st.

Nothing in Reading - Woking is the closest. Will just have to stick with Kebab corner down the road. Happy enough with that. The naan bread is gooood!

Nice to see my local (Armenian Kebab House- Blackpool) in there again, been in that category (Best Takeaway Regional) before but hasn't won. Although the press coverage in the local paper about the voting made them even busier than they usually are, and he's not the fastest of servers, even when he opened the shop 40years ago. I've waited 30+ mins numerous times to get my order.

I have never had chips with a curry. I have never seen chips on any Indian menu but then I have not been looking for them, I will do in future as I am curious.

I'm darn sarf, had this the other night, satay noodles, pancake roll and some stolen Chinese chips (that came pre salted which is a new one for me).

All really good, pancake roll came in a batter type coating rather than the usual pastry sheets that are then fried.

That looks filthy, which is what this thread is all about!

Late to the party as misses is on a diet so didn't want to pig out infront of her.

Thought I'd try the grand Mac lucky for me they gave me an extra patty as it needed it.

Would a large grand mac meal and a grand mac for dinner be too filling?

Try and see? Depends on (a large) appetite. A beer or two might help matters at hand. wink

Nope easily achievable although you will get bored of the bun by the time you finish.

Nah i don't think so. if you've eaten a big tasty then the burger is similar in size to that. to me it feels less filling because they don't use chunky veg like in the big tasty.

last week i had 1 grand big mac and 2 double cheeseburgers. filled me up nicely. preferred the double cheeseburgers tbh!
