I detest 'factory bread', but always keep a loaf of their large malted bloomer around. Always rummage around for the freshest (should have 4 days on it).

It's really thick cut, so good for a man-sized sandwich when it's perfectly fresh, but ace for toast for days thereafter.
YES!

Same here - it is an excellent loaf - especially good for dirty fry-up sandwiches too.

I used to really struggle with the Aldi bread offerings, but this one is really good (slightly on the salty side so I only keep it for special occasions).

Went down to the business park after work in a tired mood having left work almost an hour after I finish, eleven hours after I started, and several emergencies today that left us running two hours late, I digress...to treat myself to some Primroses in Lidl down from £2.99 to 0.99p a tray... Lidl have removed their 8 self-serve checkouts!!! Oh it’s okay, they’ve installed some extra manned checkouts. That were unmanned. Just one open, with a queue of ten. So that was nice.

Popped over the road to Aldi to cheer myself up. They’ve reverted to the 50% off stickers now they’re back in stock. Yay. Only those 30% off stickers I may or may not have in my pocket are now useless.

Seriously. I’m not impressed so far this month.

The pre-prepared meat/veg trays are pretty decent dinners for one!

I went to the Aldi on Market Street in Manchester yesterday to get something for lunch, picked up a couple of almond croissants for 33p each, they were great! 75p each in Sainsbury’s.

Stores don't sell all the same stuff- probably trial them in limited stores and then roll out nationally.

Aldi fake Mars bars are better than the real thing, IMO.

Permanent fixture in my golf bag. Where they go white like retro dog poo because I don't play enough golf.

And I'd vote that 'Racers' are better than 'Snickers'...

...Permanent fixture in my Mountain Bike back pack. When I've given them to friend's they have also agreed.

For the Lidlers I'd vote that the Peanut Choco, aka in our house as Sh*t Snickers are anything but errr sh*t, nearly as good as the real thing, you can tell the difference in a direct back to back blind test but pretty good. Same for the Twix lookalike. Mars bars I don't like, so can't comment there.

Though on chocolate since the rebranding of Bellarom to Fin Carre, just no, distinct downward strp.

Shortbread as good as ever though.

I didn't think Aldi accepted credit cards.

They do nowadays. Never used to (nor Lidl)

Gotta get those Waitrose shoppers’ money somehow!
