Some would say those are low-grade sausages. I say get rid of those tomatoes and that's just about perfect.

In a non pretentious fry up, cheap sausages are fine.

Not sure it's pretentious to not enjoy cheap sausages. They can be really quite miserable.

Apparently (according to the advert anyway) Richmond are the nation's favourite which, having tried some about 5 years ago, I find completely unfathomable. Less than 50% meat - and that's probably with a fairly loose description of what actually constitutes meat too.

The advert where the family has a bowl full of sausages in the middle of the table. Who does that?

It’s inexplicable. They are tubes of pink mush, no texture or flavour. There are, IMHO, worse than whatever Gregg’s put in the middle of their “sausage” rolls.
