Yeah I'm pretty close. They don't do such a great selection these days as they used to. They used to have 6 on the pumps and 3 casks behind the bar.

May see you around, will give you a flash if I see your Yaris. thumbup

speaking of Thwaites, i had a half of Champion Mild tonight (its Mild month BTW for those who weren't aware) very nice, bit more depth to taste/aroma wouldn't go amiss tho' IMO
we're off out for a bit of a real ale session tonight, so hopefully they will have some nice milds on, is the Northampton Beer festival this weekend, so hopefully will be partaking in one or two good pints biggrin

Paul from the Queen Adelaide is racking the beer today, I think he said 160 barrels

We might go Thursday night but Friday we're going to Laon Historique for a long weekend so are unable to help as bar staff this year

as well as the Pepys (will pop in when i'm in the area next, just to see whats what!) the Market Inn is also another good Real Ale pub in central Huntingdon IMO, usually have well kept Potbelly Beijing Black which is always a damn fine pint!

will have to keep an eye out for you too then! thumbup

a nice Mild would be a good way to start your session IMO (Batemans Dark & aforementioned Beijing Black are my current faves)
enjoy the beer fest too, i meant to go along to the Cambridge Fest which was on the this past weekend, but forgot all about it....

The Market used to have Pride on 100% of the time, but sadly now replaced by some unmentionable! hehe

A couple of pints on the table out the back with Zep on the Jukebox. Fond memories with friends passed on. cloud9

Not been in there recently though, may have to revisit!

He'd love Belguim, we were over there last year and went to a cafe for afternoon tea (typical English abroad) I left it with Mrs Beer to organise as I went outside to find seats to aviod the chain-smoking staff inside and we ended up with a bottle of Castle each - 11%

Moral: never send Mrs Beer to the bar even in a cafe

To be fair the first time I had a bottle it was after about 7 pints at an ale festival so did not sit quite right hehe

Tried it on it's own and it certain has a lovely taste to it.

Triple and Double Trappist beers sure are tasty but strong. After 2 or 3 it's done over here silly

You Brits drink White beers? A bit sour and excellent when the weather is hot.

Anyways, I'll soon find out as I am in London 10/11th June . . . Cheers!

You see that is why you do not get the binge drinking problems over there - three Trappists and your nicely happy and ready to not move anywhere fast wobble

White beers like Hoegaarden? They are not that popular unfortunately but try and get to a decent ale house whilst your here rather then somewhere that just serves mainstream lagers smile
