Decided to make a seriously hot chilli. Quite why I bothered serving this with jalapenos I have no idea! It was outrageously hot!! The beef shin was slow cooked and melted in the mouth.
Evil Chillies

Finished meal on dry fried tortilla.

Last nights dinner and my entry into the Cooking Competition, more photos on there.
Steak, Leek, Potato and Stilton pasties, served with buttered Jersey Royals, green beans and gravy made from the beef and leek cooking juices with a bit of port and beef stock added.
They weren't too difficult to make and there's still time for people to get an entry in as the Cooking Competition really does need a bit more support.

Well here is my dinner.
It's mashed potato. Stop laughing at the back
It's one of these,

which actually is very good straight out of the packet. Of course you can see I added more butter, ahem, (every little helps after all) and condiments.
Considering it took me less than five minutes in total it has a taste factor far higher than the humble ingredients would suggest.

Mashed potato is (for me at any rate) the ultimate comfort food.
