that's clearly a very shallow thing for making little tiny crap flat cakes of some kind

buns are flat bottomed things, not things baked in little dishes
I can confirm that IS a fairy cake tin

a police spokesman took the step of decribing the peculiar scene to the press in the hope of bringing forward potential witnesses.

"this clearly was the work of a deviant mind. the owner of the house was found wearing a pinny and had evidentally been subject to a forced demonstration of how to make BUNS using a BUN TRAY and BUN CASES. Several items of cookware were found on the floor, including a plate sized object with the words 'this is a fking yorkshire pudding tray' scrawled alongside in blood"

No witnesses have yet come forward, although relatives of both men are not surprised at the outcome, as both have been known to get into heated argumens in the past, including pistols at dawn following a disagreement whether an aircraft could indeed take off if placed on a giant conveyor belt.

A 'bun' is simply small bread whether sweet or otherwise.

A fairy cake is a cake, not a bun (it's not made of bread).

I once went to a chippy in Coventry, i was in a hurry and saw they had no fish ready to go so i asked the bloke what we had ready to go.

"I can do you a fagot batch" came his reply. I was so shocked i didn't know what to say so i just backed slowly away and went to burger king instead...

What you need is a Muffin Tray for a good depth. Much better yorkshires out of it. The thing in the links only any good for internet arguments.

I'm glad someone mentioned them. Stotties are lovely.
You get stotties in the Peaks / Yorshire / North Derbyshire too. They are a really massive breadcake. Bigger than a barmcake. Breadcakes are a roll not cake. If you go about 10 miles down south your baps are cobs.

Barmcakes are far too big, unless you are a fat fcensoreder

And they are too airy, I was very disappointed when I tasted my first one
