ALDI & LIDL Food and Drink Worth Trying?
Discussion
Aldi seem to thrive on "stock" issues to be honest, right now they have stock issues with anti-perspirants, which has been going on for about 6 weeks.
They generally have stock issues on salads and bakery products every evening after about 7pm. Previously they have had stock issues with both milk and eggs.
A lot of their stock issues seem to arise from their approach of getting mixed boxes of items. The Swiss style muesli is great with full sugar but their low sugar one is crap producing shed loads of unwanted boxes of the stuff and they don't restock until they are gone. Ditto diet and full fat coke cans, lots of full sugar versions remain.
I presume this helps keep the prices down but it does give a "fk the customer" feeling

Tis good Picked up some walking gear from Lidl this weekend (trousers, soft shell jacket and some socks), all seems decent quality, will see how they fare.

Yep a lack of squash again for my store a couple of days ago.
Ended up buying a big bottle of Robinsons elsewhere. Not as good IMO.
Lidl has been the same for weeks now, local one has had a virtually empty squash section. Forced to spend a whole 21p more at Chavda for some cordial.... FML. Ended up buying a big bottle of Robinsons elsewhere. Not as good IMO.
I have a theory on the Squash issue:
All the double concentrate squash is made in the same place. Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, doesn't matter, it's all the same.
Either because of the hot weather, or issues at the factory, they can't keep up with demand.
Aldi and Lidl have to wait, because they are the lowest in the pecking order at the manufacturers.
I may well be wrong. Whatever the reason, it's not that much more expensive at the alternatives, and we can treat ourselves to Orange Lemon and Pineapple flavour until the normal ones are back in stock at Aldi.

Could be however the shelf for Hi juice blackcurrant was empty in my local Morrisons on Friday and their posher range hasn't been available for weeks. All the double concentrate squash is made in the same place. Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, doesn't matter, it's all the same.

Totally agree with the post about Aldi's mixed cases, either put the same amount of each product in or box them seperately and notice which actually sells well!
I daresay the answer will be found here..........................

Wagyu burgers tonight, they were ok but not as tasty as the last lot. The blue cheese melts were superb though
If they're the same as the ones we tried a few weeks ago, they're pretty amazingly strong. Never before in my whole life have I said "might be too much blue cheese". Not a bad thing per se, but god they were strong.
