Aldi have been doing White Chocolate, Raspberry & Prosecco Desserts this summer as part of their Extra Special range, they are very good, not healthy but taste fantastic

Had the garlic pizza bread from the chilled but with dinner last night, delicious!
The thin ones? 4 in a pack? They’re epic! Not much to shout about in mine today, ribeye for tomorrow and some of the cheddar burgers but that’s about it

I had some of Aldi's frozen whitebait this evening (£1.99 and probably serves 3/4)
Thought it was very good, although larger than restaurant standard whitebait. I'll certainly buy again smile

We’ve had this tonight too, along with the Calamari (which I prefer) and some Creme Fraiche. All Aldi acquired and served several as a starter

Just forgot to pick up a Lemon. Lemon.

Nope, it was a big round one, next to the chilled pizzas. Not seen the 4 pack ones bit I'll keep an eye out for them.

The calamari makes a great snack, its not the greatest in the world but for a couple of quid its excellent and far better than onion rings with a steak yum

I am gradually being won over by Aldi. G/F shops there a fair bit - mostly because she likes to stock up on cheap prosecco - and a few weeks ago we bought a cheap bottle of red wine (Rockstone Ridge merlot). I expected it to taste like vinegar, but it was absolutely lovely - really fruity and very nice to drink.
One of the nicest bottles of red I've had in a while in fact, and decided a week or so back to get another bottle. While I was there, I also picked up a smoky bbq beef pizza, and some fresh baked (but sliced) white bread.

Both were excellent - the pizza was gorgeous and I will definitely buy one of those again (unlike the Carlos pizza my g/f had the other day which looked utterly disgusting). And the bread was proper thickly sliced bread - perfect for toast in the morning, and something I've never managed to find at other supermarkets.

Try the sourdough based pizzas. Award winning and rightly so.

Louie, with lines like that, you can be my wingman anytime...

...Cheers for the heads up on the Blackbox of specially selected delight. We STILL haven't got the 'Enta Pizza' in our local Aldi yet, so I'm taking a trip to the next town for a look.

Nope they're usually Bellaroma

We have a bean to cup at work on the understanding we provide our own beans and they're a bit meh, but they're cheap.
We actually find ourselves buying full trays of the Aldi 3/4 roast beans as for the money they're great.

I know what their 'house brand' is; I was querying whether they had a job lot in their specials section.

Yes, it is Bellarom. Six bags left in my local store 10 minutes ago. Also some moorish chocolate roll things conveniently on the shelf below.
