Just ordered a gas attachment for my Karu 12. My wife only eats the pizza. Forget making the dough, maintaining the fire, throwing the pies.

What are the best configurations with the door and chimney for pizza and cooking on a skillet?
Assuming you’ve got the latest gas burner, it’s door off, chimney on.

If you’ve got the earlier gas burner it’s door off, chimney off.

I’m not sure why it’s different, perhaps the latest burner is more powerful?

It’s arrived. It’s the new version. It’s raining.

Don't leave a Roccbox out when it's raining though - fills the bugger up and it takes ages to dry it out. Ask me how I know frown

Has anyone got or used an electric pizza oven like one of these?

I was happy with pan/grill until my oven popped and was replaced with a useless piece of hotpoint crap. I had hoped a wood "fired" ooni copy would work (but it hasn't) and given the weather I'd rather be indoors!

A mate has one and loves it - I’ve not personally tried it though. He likes good pizza

I did have a gazebo. It ended up in the neighbours garden. Anyway. Flogas exchanged. The top fella at B&M let me exchange the 5kg for the 10kg.

I built a whole deck and garden kitchen area with a big American BBQ and space for the pizza oven. Had some posts and joists left and ummed and ahhed about building a cover over the kitchen and didn't, gave the wood to my neighbour. Really wish I had now

"fired" up my wood pellet oven on Friday, but I really struggle to get it to keep alight.

Not sure tbh if my pellets are too damp?

OR if this is my lack of caveman skills? Any tips going?

Up north, have the materials and space, love the idea but is it worth the effort?

Given the weather, I don't think it would have been fired up since end of June

I'm not standing outside under a brolly so should I bin the idea?

My mate bought one last year and after an initial flurry of pizzas it never gets used.
They are great for party's though.

Whilst we haven't used ours since moving July 2022, we used ours loads in the old house albeit more in good weather whereas bad weather never stopped us BBQing. Not sure why.

They are great though.

Can you build some kind of structure over it ?

I like cooking outside - just not standing in the rain to do it.
