Hacienda (who supply and support them for Aldi) have a very good reputation so you should be fine.
They are sending the part out but its going to take 2 months because its out of stock and coming from China. Disappointed.
Given its only for throwing coals in, could you pop a steel strap on the outside top of that, and not jiggle it too much for the next two months?
Was just going to suggest the same, one near the top and one one the bottom.

Under a fiver if you go for the 8mm strapping. Seems like a simple fix.

Could also use some fire cement as a stop gap.

I needed a replacement ceramic bowl and they sent it out within a couple of weeks; good service for me therefore so presumably depends whether they already have any in stock.

Wondering what to cook in it this weekend now... scratchchin

Pizza! Really test the new part…

Ours last night. Goat’s cheese, ham, mushroom, harissa paste, tomato base and plenty of mozzarella on top.

This is annoying. All of them are in the same amount. It can’t vary this much surely?!

Cooking steak, so I suppose some parts will be blue, some well done…

It’s not new any more; we got the replacement some time back, and have successfully done pizzas - although actually found slightly lower temps (300-ish) worked best for us as I was burning the bases too quickly at the temp you show. Also singed a few hairs when lifting the lid a bit too fast without thinking!

Went to the butcher today and got a nice beef rib so will enjoy that tomorrow afternoon!

I nearly lost my cover for mine in the recent winds. Had to retrieve it from a neighbours garden. Has anyone thought of a way of lashing it more permanently to the oven? I think it needs some eyelets at the bottom so that it can be tied under the oven. Any other suggestions?

Pull it up the leg slightly to give some slack to them cable tie it around a leg or two? I do the same with a tight rubber band thing that acts similiar to a cable tie but reusable and I don't know there name because her dad gave me them.

Mines is in the shed right now though. As an update to the last photo they sent another part after 2 weeks and it was much better packed. Yay!

Just get a bungee long enough to go right round the outside of it? That would surely be easy and sufficient to hold it?

Eh?

Depends on how you're cooking it. If you set it up at the same temp in another smoker/bbq it would still take the same time, it's done when it's done.
