Right, that's on the list for tomorrow's Lidl discount voucher 'big shop'.

Either but I like it from the oven. Polish friends score it and then grill it. Good on BBQs too.

Good for a quick pasta bake as well, with a good dollop of Aldi Sriracha chilli sauce for an extra kick

Today I have the Rhubarb and Custard Hot Cross Buns for my working from home snacks.
  1. Just scoffing one.
  2. Just scoffing one that's been warmed up.
  3. Toasted in the toaster, with butter.
  4. Toasted under the grill, with butter.
The results are in. (Well, they were in on Friday, but I couldn't be arsed to write it up.)
  1. Good.
  2. Best. (12 secs in the microwave.)
  3. Didn't fit in the toaster.
  4. Great.
(I had the one that wouldn't have fit in the toaster warm from the microwave again.)

I also tried the M&S ones at the weekend, the traditional ones were really very good. The apple ones were nice too, but could have done with some cinnamon or something.

When you say that it didn't fit in the toaster, had you sliced in two first?

So who's going to take one for the team and try the new 67p pepperoni pizza?

Fairly sure my Mrs bought one of these for our little boy last week as he didn't want the stir fry we were having, if it is the same one it's not very good.

Even in Aldi, you get what you pay for - hence my 'walking on by'.

Have they stopped the other frozen pepperoni one then? They have been out of stock for ages and I had presumed it was the price had been lowered to 67p laugh

No, I bought one on Thursday - they've been on offer since newyear though so maybe they are getting shot before this 'value' looking range gets rolled out.

We never got the Etna in our store.. I've looked and looked.

It is a frozen one and not a fresh one isn't it?

Oh that would be a shame, I think I've got one left in the freezer that I have been holding on to. As a shared snack (with some extra mozzarella and chopped up chorizo) they are brilliant and insane value for money. The sourdough chicken and chorizo one I've been buying recently is good but I think it's double the price, although it's still cheap lol.

Yes it's in the freezer section, they have them in every local Aldi I've been in

I've been looking in ours since they were first mentioned and not had any luck - likewise we didnt get the lemon sicilian swiss rolls that were recently mentioned either.

Have a look in the next town.

Slightly off topic but my hens are chomping through half a bag of lidl carrots a day. I'm happy enough feeding them carrots because the eggs are coming out big and tasty

Am I missing a trick with Lidl? Just opened a new big Lidl local to me and have been round a few times but yesterday I couldn't find naans or any ready made samosas or anything like that?

The range of products seems very limited compared to Aldi?

What do people think about the owners of Aldi in a family dispute ? The NaN has put into her will that no decision making will be from xyz or their off apron as they have been taking money out of the company and living the lifestyle of multimillionaires.
