Although I don't like much veg.
That looks really good. Much better than ours.

I've bought a selection of sausages from the butcher to make sausage rolls. smile

Cheers, although I cheated and cooked them separately and then put some mash potato in as well.

Good luck with the sausage rolls!

I used to cook bread using a blow torch after I refused to use the skanky old toaster and grilling took too long.

Need a new blow torch, anyone know a good mechanics/plumbers blow torch and what safe gas to use?

Had a crack at Polenta last night. All was going well until SWMBO'd piped up 'this mash tastes a bit funny' this is when I mentioned that is was made from Polenta not potato. Fatal error! as she instantly dismissed it as not liking the texture even though she was half way through eating it.

Hey-ho...

Pan fried chicken breast, herby Polenta mash with mushroom sauce.

Live and learn. wink

I know what you mean.

But then I agree with your partner too. It just isn't that good.

I tend to use mine to dust roast potatoes to make them crunchier.

Yes.

Also try Jamie's polenta chips at one of his places. They are very nice.

Made this a few weeks bak, probably the nicest looking dish I've made.

Chicken and prune terrine, with pickled carrots and radish with prune and earl grey puree

I bought one of the 'mini' versions and it's honestly ste. OH's farts would sear steak more effectively.

Very nice looking plate of food. Would never have thought of prunes with chicken.
