Jesus Christ I’ve only gone put my card details back on JE ,it’s all too easy now ,click click click,3digit no ,boom
fking hour though I could walk there and back in 20 mins even drive there 5 mins both ways ,problem then is something else grabs your eye on the menu fk that
Stay off JE lads. Go direct, or the only one that wins is JE.fking hour though I could walk there and back in 20 mins even drive there 5 mins both ways ,problem then is something else grabs your eye on the menu fk that
Takeaways are going to have to add JE’s margin, which is huge, onto their menu prices if we stop going direct.

I don’t agree. There’s not a lot left to call a living for the vendors as it is, and JE isn’t helping. The market is the market. JE makes it easy, but I don’t think they bring in extra business overall.
Every pound JE makes (a lot) comes from one or more of price, quality, portion size, or the vendor’s living.
Just go direct, it’s barely any more work for us, or in a few years every takeaway will be 30% more expensive, or 30% crapper, with no benefit to vendor or buyer.

Disagree. I order a stload more takeaway since JE or Deliveroo happened. In fact I almost never ordered takeaways before, other than the odd Pizza Hut, because I’m in central London and don’t have a car, and couldn’t be asked to go on the tube to grab some grub..
I think JE and Deliveroo just increased the size of the market massively, at least in London.

I was meaning when it's something you were going to buy and either collect or had delivered by the takeaway themselves anyway, then please avoid JE and go direct.

Like many people on this thread, I am not that familiar with the concept of 'leftovers', however the combination of an overly generous order from the local Nepalese place last Sunday and a busy week meant that I've just consumed the last portion of a week old curry.
It seemed perfectly fine, but how long does a takeaway curry last if just kept in the fridge? (I cooked the rice fresh though)
I think week old curry, (not frozen and defrosted) I would shy away from.It seemed perfectly fine, but how long does a takeaway curry last if just kept in the fridge? (I cooked the rice fresh though)
I might sometimes add a sag aloo to a curry order to add to an omlet the following day but not a week after.
I think the key is to get it cold quickly when its left over then re-heat to a really high temperature so its steaming hot.
Personally I don't keep for more than 2 days just in case its already a couple of days old when I get it!
Just ordered pizza sausage and chips
This turns up
When deliverey drive handed me two boxes saying here’s your pizza’s I kept straight faced and said thanks ,goodbye and disappeared back inside ,they’re both the same and as I made my own it can’t have been anyone else’s ,I’d better not eat it yet in case they want it back ,they can fk off not answering door
