Aldi Emporium cheese spread.
Since being a kid I've always liked a bit of spreadable Dairylea on toast, but Aldi's version is just as good if not better, and much cheaper.
I bought a tub based on your recommendation. Was OK as an extra addition to a ham salad sandwich. I probably needed to spread it thicker.Since being a kid I've always liked a bit of spreadable Dairylea on toast, but Aldi's version is just as good if not better, and much cheaper.

George Foreman Compact grill thing for £12.99 yesterday. Probably another "used once and never again" thing for my kitchen.
Yup....it's on our list of things bought and chucked.... :-)Shuvi McTupya said:

Regularly used for all sorts, works great for quickly cooking the lightly dusted fish portions rather than waiting half an hour for the oven to heat up and cook things.
Not steak though
Picked up Lidl haddock fishcakes yesterday - a snap decision to compare with the Aldi version already in the fridge at home.
The Lidl version wins this round - nicer coating and the sauce in the middle makes the difference.
Anybody mentioned Aldi all butter ginger stem cookies? Amazing things!

Aldi Specially Selected and Lidl Deluxe both have a salmon wellington offering. The Lidl one is a much nicer recipe/product there too.The Lidl version wins this round - nicer coating and the sauce in the middle makes the difference.
Though it has been a year since I last tried them, so things can change!

Noticed that both Lidl and Aldi no longer have the Dopiaza curry sauce amongst the selection, which is a shame. All sorts of creamy Korma, Tikka Kassala, Butter Chicken amongst the mild selection, but Dopiaza stopped. Big thumbs down from here. Will try the butter chicken. Grump.
Is that the one with the spice mix in a plastic tub on top of the jar? If so, that's a shame as the dopiaza one was our favourite.FiF said:

My local one had the Dopiaza with the spice section on top on Sunday, I hope it's not the last batch as I'd have stocked upGassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
