Is that the one with the spice mix in a plastic tub on top of the jar? If so, that's a shame as the dopiaza one was our favourite.
I tried those sauces, not very nice. Far too salty.

Noticed that both Lidl and Aldi no longer have the Dopiaza curry sauce amongst the selection, which is a shame. All sorts of creamy Korma, Tikka Massala, Butter Chicken amongst the mild selection, but Dopiaza stopped. Big thumbs down from here. Will try the butter chicken. Grump.

Yep that's the one, went through 5 boxes in each of Aldi and Lidl, not one, zillions of Korma.

Had a quick scan through the hot curry selection from the same range to no avail.

Wheat bear is a killer. I could drink that all day (and might have). What doesn't help is Aldi has the matching glasses this week so its a double stop!

Just noticed that Tesco is set to close the first branch of Jack's which it opened to a fanfare that it was taking on Aldidl. Unsurprised, think it was this thread where predictions that Tesco couldn't clone the discount model.

Tesco just constantly seem to fk things up. Remarkable consistency.

The Chatteris branch? Where have you seen that?

It was in this morning's paper, turns out on further investigation it isn't Chatteris but Rawtenstall which was previously a Tesco Superstore. Sorry, blame the Telegraph.

Maybe it's a case of Jack's didn't work there and trying to find different locations, as they are supposed to be opening another Tesco in Rawtenstall.

On a slightly different note, has anyone tried the uber discount 'Stockwell' lines in Tesco? My tip, don't waste the money, dire is being generous.

Back on topic, still resisting Mini Stollen, it's a tough life.

Ah good to know, the kitchen at home is lacking a wheat beer glass.

And chocolate stollen...

I was, at once, earlier this week delighted and saddened to see that all the 'plan-o-grams' for chilled and frozen food were changing in Aldi, indicating a shift from summer to winter range and the associated line deletions.

One such item which was deleted, was their super-yummy guacamole. It had a great taste, lots of chunks... now gone to make way for pigs in blankets frown

Be interesting what brand new lines appear in the seasonal change.

Along with loads of other faux brands, it’s Tesco Value / Everyday Value in new packaging. More than likely exactly the same stuff as before.

A pair of two-tonne TUV-approved axle stands in the middle of Lidl for a tenner. A fiver less than Halfords and ECP should one be in the market for some

There aren't many supermarkets one could say that about!
