A very varied haul this time around with some cracking examples of the variety that can be produced in the rum category.
The latest hard to get your hands on FourSquare release that you just know will be good. A SBS from the French Antilles that was one of only 34 bottles from the cask. A bargain Agricole from Bolongne that was on offer on Amazon. The Clairin from Haiti which is a really interesting and exciting rum. A couple from Bristol Spirits who rarely fail in bottling some of the best and finally the Caroni 22 which is about as heavy as heavy rum gets and getting rarer and rarer as time passes.
Let us know how you get on with that Clairin - the last one I got (Sajous) is madness and much more intense than the previous ones I've had.
My additions over the last 6 months:

Plantation Fiji: nice, a little bit of fruity ester and a slight dosage works well.
St Nicholas Abbey OP: I bought a bottle of this at the distillery and then my father-in-law nicked it when he went home after Christmas - I'd given him a Foursquare but he plainly preferred this!
They sell 95% of what they make at the distillery door but you can get it in the UK too so I bought a replacement. A wonderful white rum, enough character to keep it interesting but not as aggressive as a Jamaican / Agricole etc.
Rum of Mystery: it's no mystery, it's from Beenleigh distillery, 100 miles from where I grew up in Aus. Aged well with a fair amount of oak character.
JG Thomson and Scissor Tail: interchangeable bottles for me - wonderful entry level Jamaican fruity rum flavours and not expensive.
SBS French Antilles Grand Arome: Did you know they make an intensely flavoured AOC molasses rum in Martinique? I should have researched it more before buying the bottle but I didn't! They make it using similar processes to the Jamaicans but the flavours are much stranger to me - I couldn't pick it until I read a review saying "salty green olives" and that's about the best I could use. Straaaaaange stuff.
English Harbour 10 Year: We went to Antigua and drank a lot of it and this is the one we brought home. Actually better than I first gave it credit for with some lovely notes from the oaking - kinda like a sherry cask finish although they don't mention that on the bottle.

These are rums my wife has brought back when she travels without me - must do better!![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
(front) Bambarra Gold: Cheap young rum from Turcs and Caicos.
Bambarra Traouvadore 15 year: really good, old rum from from Turks and Caicos.
A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra: So much sugar added I use it like a liqueur in small amounts in cocktails. £70 worth of bottle and £9 worth of sugar from Denmark.
Don Martin "Handcrafted Island Rum": they don't mention "spiced" in big letters so my wife missed that.
No vanilla and not that sweet at least - lots of spice and a bit of woodiness.

Nice selection, how was the SBS unaged?
Updated the OP with reviews. ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
I've also been looking at Rum Bologne on Amazon - let me know how you find it! I listened to a podcast with a kiwi bloke who'd gone round the world visiting as many distilleries as he could and when they asked what his favourite place was, he said the island of Marie-Galante off Guadeloupe (11'000 people and 3 distilleries). So I'm doing my best to talk my missus into a trip to Guadeloupe this year.

I bought all 4 of the unaged SBS and I reckon they will all be "interesting". I'm not sure I'll be drinking much of them neat, rather in simple cocktails.![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

I find myself commenting on that programme everytime that it wouldn't be a bad place to enjoy a rum. I'd probably never leave!

There's only one way to find out.
I've had opened bottles of spirits which have been fine for 10 years and others which definitely didn't taste right.
Give them a sip and update. Very unlikely to do you any damage!
Will do. Does ginger ale go with these rums?I've had opened bottles of spirits which have been fine for 10 years and others which definitely didn't taste right.

I got a bottle of the latest JG Gow wild yeast series and it's delicious if you're into that kinda thing. Loads of fruit, kinda like a toned down Jamaican overproof. There's still some stock left too (although I bet Sy already has a couple of bottles!):
