Seems they’re plenty of you remain to be Branston fans. Perhaps my taste buds have changed hence Branston tastes different to me!
Try the rest of the range, I’ve a bit of an addiction to the beans with large Lincolnshire sausages.

Recently moved from Branston (4/£2) to Lidl own brand (4/99p) not the cheapo ones but the mid range own brand. When thickened up on the hob and not microwaved there is little difference between the 2.
I have given up microwaving beans, I think they taste much better slowly cooked/warmed up on the stove top smile

I started this threat 7.5 years ago. I'd like to move it on now to beans with a full English breakfast. Not a fan, but if they are included, they must be in a ramekin. So you can do what you want with them, tip them out, eat them separately, don't eat them at all, etc. Not put on the plate, without consent, infecting all the other stuff.

A cafe near me in north Dorset makes their own baked beans. They are fantastic, richer and with a thicker sauce.

OH won't touch normal baked beans, but she loves theirs.

A ramekin? A ramekin? That the sort of thing might be acceptable in the South, like lager top, but not in the North.

I've moved to the Heinz Five Beans for the kids, get a mixture of beans instead of single type.

I was thinking the lockdown might be the opportunity to try making my own. Anyone got a good recipe?

No place for a ramekin with breakfast.

You build a sausage wall, obviously.

I bought Taco Beans last time I was in a supermarket. A nice alternative to Branston.

I lived in Dublin for 3 years and was always served beans in a ramekin. Admittedly I can't say the rest of Ireland....
