Looks horrible. How much did they refund when you took it back? Flabby mix of over and under cooked fries. Bun so dry it has snapped. Chunk of iceberg lettuce peeled off and carelessly shoved on the base. The whole thing looks like it was assembled by a blind man wearing ski mittens!

You've clearly never been to In-N-Out to produce such a silly comment.

A poorly made In-N-Out is still far superior to anything produced here in the UK.

I apologise. The thread title is about prices. $7, well done.

Just back from 3 weeks in the States and fortunately managed to avoid the dross. Fill your boots. You can get stuff from bins for free!

We should try and include those potato burgers you get on the streets of Mumbai.
Probably get them for less than 50p

I may be hounded for this but the dirty louisiana burger from KFC is really bloody good. Sad its going away soon. And £7 for a large box meal (large fries, gravy, drink and mini fillet included) is good value to me.

It did look vaguely tempting on the posters (accepting that it'll never actually look like that). Will have to give it a go.

Really surprised and pleased with Prezzo. Had a reasonable Caprese salad followed by what I assumed would be a run of the mill burger.

First off the bun, had to be Broiche (of course) but it wasn't the soft sickly bun you get in some places. Much firmer and toasted (which I think is essential), then the burger(s) themselves, two nicely charred patties, not dried out with a decent amount of molten cheese, crisp Parma ham on the bottom with fresh salad and nice slices of raw red onion.

Really tasty, lots in it but not too messy and the fries were skinny, salty and crisp.

Not bad for a £12.50 2 course lunch menu.

A local brewery has recently extended it's drinking hall and has added a small kitchen.
Beer is great and pleased to say so is the food.
If you're ever looking for somewhere interesting to go in York, this is well worth checking out.
Basic burger and peanut fries £11

What is the best burger joint in America out of interest? Over here I've never really rated 5 guys and the usual. Everything seems kinda eh.

Had a burger at Steak and Honour in Cambs. Nice enough but £18.50 after fries, slaw, and a coke. Quite a big amount of money.

For the chains: Shake Shack for the burger, In'n'Out for the Animal Style Fries.

But, the burger in any random bar will be better than both.

haha it's called Vada Pav and usually costs around £1 here.

I used to work in a place where everyone was Indian and they would order it once a week. Greasy as hell but delicious and the fried chilli would destroy my insides, there was another version with crispy potato bhajias instead of the potato ball that was epic but a heart attack in bread.

Was out shopping (so already in a bad mood) a couple of weekends ago with the mrs and we stopped for something to eat at 5 guys... FFS £24.something for 2 cheese burgers, 1 fries and 1 milkshake. WTF!!!

I am generally not a skinflint but I almost walked. Hunger took over, took about 10 minutes to make it and it was nice I will give them that however about half way through my burger the mrs said whats that in your burger... I pulled out what could only be described as a matted pile of pubes. redfaceredfaceredface

Took it all back and they took one look at it and think they knew what it was. They gave me my money back in about 10 seconds and offered to replace it all but I declined. Should have taken a pic really.

Good job she was with me or I would not have spotted it. <throws up>

Wow, that's grim.

Could've done some real damage if you got a photo and were so inclined to launch a social media campaign.

The 'pubeburger' was born.

That looks like a great burger and most importantly a burger in a proper bun, none of this brioche bun bks.
