It's a fish cake - the old double scallop (a thick slice of potato for those not in the know) with fish in the middle and then battered.

I'm staying in Fulham until Thursday night with work. Where should I be sampling? Not afraid a small journey to collect but I need to be able enjoy it hot by the time I get back to my hotel!

Chelsea Pensioner - old fashioned boozer
White Horse - brew pub
Harwood Arms - gastropub

just to get you started. If you like American BBQ go to Bodeans on the broadway

In a hotel on business so chicken tikka jal frezi, mushroom pilao, paratha and chips out of tinfoil trays
