I like the Itsu stuff, the gyoza are great freezer fillers, and the ramen noodles are pretty lush. No fan of the Wagamama sauces, which is strange considering it's (by far) my favourite "fast food" outlet.
Many thanks for the contributions to this thread, I only stumbled across it a couple of weeks ago and have bulk purchased some Nongshim and Acecook pots from Starrymart, top recommendation.

Turned out Waitrose have the range on offer at £3 down from £4.25 which equates to 25p per dumpling . . . nice.
So did a dummy run with the dumplings using the fry then steam method, tomato hot pot base and a pot of freeze dried instant chicken and mushroom rice......
The freeze dried rice was a tad runny compared to the vacuum packed version I tried last week which was like proper sticky Korean rice but ok..........
The main thing is Wifey absolutely loved it which was a surprise as normally She doesn't like my 'noodle' exploits!! I think She's coming round to it though
Note: I accept this quite a deviation from the thread as in "Noodles In A Pot" but It's pretty much instant and takes only minutes to do

I flew with easyjet on Monday and the lady next to me asked for the katsu naked noodle pot.
The hostess handed it to her and poured the boiling water in.
Immediately the lady tries to tuck in to the crispy katsu goodness.
She then complained to the crew that the noodles were crunchy and would like another pack

Broth-filled beef balls sound interesting - I presume they come frozen? How do you cook them?
Can you get other versions? I don't eat red meat any more but a chicken variant might go down well if it's an option...
I need to spend more time in those freezers instead of looking for oddities like chicken ovaries to photograph
