I just had a rather disappointing steak from Lidl.

Previously, the 'Deluxe' dry aged rib eye could be relied upon.

The most recent batch, not so much. If that was 30-day dry aged, I'm Spartacus.

The steak was sizeable but tough as old boots (T as OB!) but the dirty fries were gloriously dirty.

• - kit contents - some random dry spice mix, some red 'nacho sauce' and some 'nacho sprinkles' (cheesy smelling crumbs) - add to oven chips with some sliced cheese.

Big Daddy steaks are best done using the reverse sear method. Haven't had a bad one yet in years.
