I’m going to be working near Lockerbie/Dumfries next week and week after - being checking google maps for best place to get a munchie box, and checking out the reviews.
Seems to be you can get them from a chippy/Indian/Chinese. Looking forward to giving one a try.
You’ll have no problem finding a munchie box in Dumfries, they’re available in just about every takeaway there. I wouldn’t have thought you’ll find one in Lockerbie though, very small town with just a few takeaways on the Main Street.Seems to be you can get them from a chippy/Indian/Chinese. Basically the munchie from the Chinese will consist of chicken balls, spring rolls, chips etc. The Indian ones will be veg and chicken pakoras, chips, kebab meats etc. The chippy ones will be battered sausage, burger, onion rings, battered haggis, chips etc.
If you download the Just Eat and Foodhub apps then search Dumfries, you’ll get a better idea what’s in the munchie boxes. Unless you want a Chinese one, there’s only one Dumfries Chinese on the food ordering apps and they don’t offer one. But if it’s a Chinese munchie box you’re after, I can suggest a couple of places.

Cheers - up for 6 nights - trying not to have one from each will be the hard part ......
