Thumbs up for the mini beef wellingtons, only cost £3 amazing value with a nice little piece of steak in each one! I purchased some last year from Cook for £10 and they were awful in comparison.

Living in NE Wales, my local Aldi’s support local suppliers and as such tend to stock the basic Edward’s of Conwy pork sausages, which are my usual ‘go to’ for a FEB.

I picked these up the other day, as ‘my usual’ were date limited to the day of purchase.

Never again, they’re crap.

Excessive fat leakage, meant they were swimming in an inch of liquid whilst cooking, they lacked flavour and had bits of gristle in, universally rejected by all four in my house.

To rub it in, are the same price as my usual choice..... frown

From Lidl, I can recommend this for £5.50 (I CBA to re-orientate it)

To close out the complain here is Aldi’s response.

Thank you for contacting Aldi Customer Services to voice these concerns.

I am very sorry to hear of the way that yourself and the elderly gentleman mentioned have been treated on this occasion.

I have passed through your comments to the staff at our store. Whilst the store may not have been open at the time of your visit, our staff should always try to go the extra mile for our customers to be #EverydayAmazing, and so I am sorry that this was not experienced by yourself on this occasion.

I will also ensure that our App's listed opening times correspond correctly with our store's opening times, as it is of utmost importance that our customers have access to the correct information regarding all things Aldi to make their in-store experiences as wonderful as possible.

Thank you again for sharing this experience with us, and please rest assured that we take things of this nature very seriously.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Kind regards,

Aldi Customer Services

Response seems fair and they will make sure the app is correct in future.

Twisted Tree Cider and H Westons also today, haven’t noticed them before. Also a bottle of white Rioja as a bit of a gamble

I’ve tried the white Rioja, I thought it was good.

Bought today reduced from £9.99 to £3something.

Bloody hell it's lovely (don't feed the children it, they'll get pissed!)
Spotted this today, was also reduced in our local store - only one in the house that eats Christmas pudding so didn't bother but if its a good as you say then I may have to take one for the team and give it a go smile
Had it on Xmas day, it was amazing. The fumes alone would get you drunk.
Always found Aldi puds to stay moist, previous ones from other places tended to get a bit dry.

Twisted tree cider is absolutely lovely IMO. I like the 330ml can size too.

I have this evening finished the end of one of these, MrsC doesn't really eat it so it's lasted me since the 25th. Stayed fine to eat up until today, and it really was very good indeed.

Easier to drink than the Westons, could be dangerous in the summer though, went down far to quickly

The lidl vintage cider is made by westons but isnt quite as strong as the proper westons vintage (7.3% to 8.4%) but i really like the taste and its very easy to drink.

Bramwells one? Got a bottle in the cupboard that has the nozzle, yours is either stuck inside the lid or you have been unlucky and it’s missing.

Thanks. I just checked and there's not one in the lid, must be just missing. Hopefully a one off, it's almost impossible to put a splash or two on stuff rather than half the bottle at once.

cap off, thumb over opening. control amount by lifting thumb slightly off. like you see tv chefs do when they drizzle a bottle of oil or vinegar over salad
