The lidl vintage cider is made by westons but isnt quite as strong as the proper westons vintage (7.3% to 8.4%) but i really like the taste and its very easy to drink.
Superb cider and really cheap, always grab some in the summer Has anyone else noticed a difference in the Aldi sliced Corned Beef? I thought it was just different batches from time to time, sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but it's not that, there are actually two very different types on offer and sometimes I've bought one, sometimes the other, depending on what's available on the shelf. The four slice pack is bloody lovely, rich, creamy, soft, beefy, salty, delicious, the bits of dark clear soft jelly around the edge are a taste explosion. But the near identically packaged five slice packs are hard, bland, almost tasteless, with the odd bit of hard white set fat around the edges. I strongly recommend the four slice pack if there's a choice, it's far far superior imo.

If you are desperate 21c, I have a few bottles in the wine rack. Dunno whether the over zealous police would fine you though when you told them why you were here.

My local Aldi ran out of the Unicorn when I shopped last week.
Back in stock today, so a couple of bottles bought as contingency.
Steak for tea tonight, so bought the usual 36-day aged sirloin for the missus and a 28-day aged ribeye for me.
Both were the best ones on offer, after sorting through the stock on the shelf.
My ribeye was a great disappointment, full of gristle and pretty much inedible. 50% went in the bin.
Wife’s sirloin all good. Both cooked in the usual way.
Not the first ‘meat failure’ from Aldi recently, as I’d already decide to buy steak mince from the butchers. The last Aldi pork chops were below par too.
Maybe I now move to the butchers 100% for meat purchases...

Bought today reduced from £9.99 to £3something.
Bloody hell it's lovely (don't feed the children it, they'll get pissed!)
Spotted this today, was also reduced in our local store - only one in the house that eats Christmas pudding so didn't bother but if its a good as you say then I may have to take one for the team and give it a go https://www.aldipresscentre.co.uk/product-news/ald...

Always found Aldi puds to stay moist, previous ones from other places tended to get a bit dry.

I fancy making some Currywurst one day this week does anyone have any frankfurter recommendations from Aldi ?
Aldi don't really have much in the range of sausages.- 'classic' frankfurters
- tinned ye olde hot dogs
- jarred bramwells bockwurst.
Out of that I'd go for the bockwurst. Lidl will have more range of sausages though.
- frankfurters (various sizes)
- bockwurst
- bratwurst
- keilbsasa
- tinned hotdogs.
