A significant part of my business is sourcing and supplying limited edition stuff as well as low volume and collectibles in the food sector. Marmite is in crazy demand, not just with expats either I hasten to add. As for the limited edition stuff, I don't have any but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you in future. I do love it, so it's not exactly a chore biggrin

I suspect you're about to be told no, and that they must be disposed of properly by law, via some chap in north lincs biggrin

Thanks - I got the champagne one from a helpful PHer, but I'm nearing the end of it - the XO and the standard stuff is nearly finished too, but they're easily gotten hold of.

The others are a lot harder to get. Tasty too smile

This isn't exactly Marmite, but I've ordered a bottle along with a few other items from the store:

http://www.firefoods.co.uk/firemite_sauce.htm

Interested to see what it's like.

Interestingly enough not an hour after replying to this thread I got a call from a magazine / website writer asking for some information on Denmark's recent ban, then back-peddling and bluster. I wrote a blog article about it a wee while ago.

Is today national marmite day or something? That seems too spooky a coincidence biggrin

Sainsburys is the place but it's flying out. Got one jar one evening, went back the next day and it was stripped bare.

Is it any different, or just repackaged?

Just repackaged. It's sold in the same spot as the regular stuff and is the same price too.

Just enjoying a mug of Marmite due to this thread. I went out last night and had a few too many drinks which has lead to taste deprivation all day.

The mighty kick of umami goodness is working a treat!
