Lidl have a new pizza flour I found. Added to the pizza oven thread aswel. Got two and will make some pizza with it next week.
Top tip... used all the caputo I had. Will do a batch of dough tomorrow and see what its like but at 99p a kilo it can't be bad value.

Definitely worth the money, made a batch of dough up the other day, as good as any "pizza flour" I've tried.

Will be picking up several more bags tonight, got a years BBE on it.

I saw a similarly decorated Dao in Aldi too. Will grab it and give it a try.

I can confirm that the (fairly) new cheese stuff crust pizza's are spot on. With an accompaniment from the related takeaway range enough for two. The Garlic dip that goes with them is nice too. The meat feast version is a bit bland mind.

as tasty as these raw dough pizzas are they never cook properly. the crust is fine. but the area with the topping is always limp and sticks to the tray.

Your oven isn't hot enough, Ambuletz.

Either you're not following the instructions, or your oven is under-performing at the requested temperatures.

Pizza shouldn't be cooked on a metal tray.
I use a fine, silicone(?) gauze/mat thing and never have anything but a perfect result.

Again, never had any problem getting perfect results from them, and that's with an oven with a faulty thermostat.

And this week at Lidl ....

Think I'll skip this, but then for me Lidl is really just about the milk chocolate hazelnut thin biscuits which I find strangely addictive.

Popped into Lidl to check out their deluxe thick delmonico steaks (~400g) that they have this week. All of them were absolutely butchered (poorly)! Just a complete mess and not thick at all, some were thinner than the standard range. Definitely nothing like the photos in the magazine.

I ended up picking up my usual deluxe Lidl 30 day-aged ribeyes (~225g) instead.

Lidl deluxe salted caramel hot chocolate. Its quite sweet but possibly one of the best I've tried. so thick and creamy. Going to pick up a standard versions and give that a go to.

One thing I pray they are out of stock of is those filled caramel ring donuts on the bakery. Im weak for them and they were on special 3 for a £1 the other day weeping

Just picked up a couple of interesting items from Lidl - Leffe Brune £2.49 and Fire Eaters Scorpion Chilli crisps £0.99.

Went in earlier for some of the rotisserie frozen chicken wings and came out with a 900g cowboy steak, good old Lidl laugh

This was from my local supermarket rather than Aldi or Lidl but I thought it might find some love here. Wonder what it tastes like? nuts

It’s very good, I’ve had it in France many times. Costs under £4 there.

Fine in mine on shelf with the bottom of the oven heating as well gives a decent crust
