Cooked a turkey crown (dry brined) on the barbecue, rib of beef smeared with mustard, salt and pepper, blasted in the oven at full whack for 20 mins then down to gas 5, pulled it out at 47c then rested, came out perfect . Also honey/mustard/marmalade glazed gammon. Plus all the trimmings, no room on the plate for the cauliflower cheese at this point until room was made.

The second round of the Turkey was better. Moist. That’s the think with it. Difficult to get it all just so. Liked Matts Nose Bag idea.

Duck with a blackberry and port sauce, roasted potatoes and celeriac, roasted parsnips and broccoli cooked with bacon and chestnuts.

Duck was a little overdone but it was delicious.

We also had a tiramisu with chestnut whipped cream but I forgot to take a picture of that because I was pished smile.

Probably just can't be arsed to cook properly. fair play. We can't all be eating medium rare steak with triple cooked chips, or funghi risotto everyday.
