Are they the "new & improved" fries?
They are salty AF. You can ask for plain and the good thing its they will be a lot fresher than the standard new ones which will likely have been dressed and sitting for a while.

The fundamental problem with KFC fries is that they are too small. The portion size is also too small unless you get them in a 'lunchbox' format.

What’s new about them? There was a big fanfare a few years ago when they moved from fries to skin on chips. What’s the difference now? The chips have always been a weak point at KFC either undercooked or cold and sometimes both and neither change previously has made any difference to that. It’s not hard to make crispy hot fries especially from frozen so what is the problem

They are the same but doused in a ‘spice’ dust which tastes a bit like the meat coating.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the flavour or how salty they are now.

i was in kfc for the first time in ages today, got a zinger meal.

the chips had the salty / spicy coating mentioned above. Had to go and get another drink 15 mins after leaving kfc, was salty as hell.

No pics of the food, but that is not the point of the post.

I can't believe how "cheap" KFC is if you use the app and take advantage of the offers.

I got an absolute feast earlier for less than £6.

All of it was piping hot and I scored well on the mini fillets, they were all enormous.

I agree with you here. It does amaze me. We had kfc yesterday and had similar order, added hot wings and a free zinger burger.

Your order costs less than the large raw chicken I buy for a Sunday roast. Does concern me slightly...

found a new takeaway place near me, which is good cos the standard of the other more established kebab shops is going downhill.

12" garlic bread with cheese, meatballs, red onion, fresh parsley and jalapenos.
Was good, will visit again yum

Mixed meat wrap with chips.

Wrap was a bit thin so it disintegrated after the first bite, was polished off with a knife and fork though.

Cat in the top right corner couldn't understand why she wasn't allowed meat covered in chilli sauce.

New places are always good for a few weeks , early delivery, tidy food/portions , ,then your next order is st / late or cold or something missing , none of the fkers can keep it good round here ,, next thing you know it’s either closed down or a different name ,the first time they fk up I’ll swerve them for a good while then give them one more chance

Thing is, KFC is all British chicken and of the non caged type. Not free range, but a decent compromise. Compare this to 95% of processed chicken from the supermarkets which is from Brazil/Thailand/Poland/Romania/China, I do check and it is nigh on impossible to find anything frozen that is from the UK.

I actually think it is just a VERY bad business move from KFC. There is slim profit in orders where you go on to the app with the sole intention of stuffing yourself for the cheapest way possible. Lol.

They are still doing a fillet burger meal with chips for £8 or thereabouts, but you aren't going to go for that.

ETA after searching it is only chicken on the bone that is UK sourced. However they claim that certain standards are needed in order to supply them.

This doesn't need to become a thread about animal welfare, but fast food restaurant chicken standards are awful. Even KFC, who you rightly acknowledge as among the best, is still a long way behind how anyone sane would like animals to be treated.

The birds have 1 sqft each to 'live' in, and never see sunlight in their entire short lives. It's pretty grim.
