I've not tried it because I read so many bad reviews of it.
Very expensive for what it is and a marketing exercise - according to those in the know.

Yes. They were giving samples out in Selfridges.

Is pretty inoffensive stuff. I'd describe it as 'Beginners whisky'.
Someone (Probably on here somewhere) described it as 'Whisky for people who don't normally like/drink whisky'

I have. £50 and it tastes of naught. It's a vapourware brand. It wasn't even bad, it's just nothing.

Light reading on the train. Quite enjoyable so far. He's an ardbeg lover so that's promising!

Superb book. Some nice E39 M5 & Pork 911 content too if I remember correctly.

It's a great book from my favourite writer.

Sadly missed.

I wanted to try it. It was on offer in Morrisons recently I believe. I'll probably still purchase it at some point but interesting to hear people's thoughts on it.

I would bypass the Haig - a non experience. So many other drams that a more memorable for less coin.

opened the amarone cask tonight and enjoying it so much, it's going in the hipflask for a wedding we're going to tomorrow. Great drop!
Always good to hear that a recommendation has gone down well!!

I took along a litre bottle of Belvinie 12yo Triple Cask to a BBQ party at the weekend and it was all polished off. Very easy to drink but there are more interesting whiskies at the price point.

Now having to endure a week off drinking but that may be due to who comsumed most of the aforementioned bottle wink

Father's Day present : Laphroaig Select , I have been drinking whisky for forty odd years but this one is something else, described on some forums as wound cleaner and in un drinkable, I find it a bit strong for my taste, has anyone here tried it ?

Sorted, adding a bit more water biggrin

These two arrived a few days ago. Looking forward to hearing what is in the July releases in the next day or so, and then try and get them on Friday! smile

When I tasted the amarone cask I thought it was good, but not quite on the level people here seem to be rating it as!

Had it before at the Tromsø whisky festival - it's very nice, although can't remember the details now. Can post them when I try these bottles/ can find my (rubbish) notes! Have a bit of a backlog to get through first! I seem to be buying bottles more quickly than I drink them.

I've just been given a bottle of this Taiwanese after mentioning non-Scottish whiskies to my Dad.

Sweet and very easy going. This won't last long.

Lovely bottle, but very bland. Well marketed though, it certainly doesn't sell on taste.
