My local chipper last night.

I am partial to the occasional deep fried pizza supper, but saw this on the "board of joy" up behind the counter and had to have a bash.

"Scrunchy pizza" is a new one on me, but just a battered pizza it seems - the chips are hiding underneath.



Actually quite tasty, and very, very filling - such that highly unusually for me I couldn't finish it and the OH had to help out.

A tad soggy and heavy, but much of that probably due to having to walk 10 minutes home with it and then a brief reheat in the oven. Proper fresh I suspect would have been best, but there was no park bench and offie for a can of special nearby sadly.

A pizza crunch is done in batter as above. That's just a deep-fried pizza.

On closer inspection that's got a thin batter on it.
