High speed blender

Hi Tony,
I've got one of these Duronic blenders.
It's really sturdy, reduces anything I've put into it to mush, and is very easy to clean.

Looks like its worth a go. The waring ones are circa £400. Even if it doesn't do the job needed it probably worth £50 to find out.I've got one of these Duronic blenders.

We have one of these Vitamix things: http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/co... and it blends most things and has a seven year guarantee.
(I guess it fits into your 'commercial' expensive one though)

Its the Vitamix blenders that are recommended for what we need but was looking at the waring as it has a commercial warranty.(I guess it fits into your 'commercial' expensive one though)
Interesting to compare though as it does seem the vitamix info is a little sparse.
The Vitamix one here a little cheaper Vitamix QVC Was an excellent sales pitch, I spent 20 minutes watching something I had no interest in buying. Looked quite a sturdy machine though.

If you want to take a punt on a bargain, maybe try this, it holds 2 litres and is 3hp :

Should go for about £140-170.
Thanks, have put a low bid in, see what happens. Unfortunately I can't buy off eBay for work but I don't mind donating it if I can get it cheap enough.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sage-by-Heston-Blumentha...

Out of interest, why can't you buy from eBay for work? We used to buy a lot for our business from eBay, because it was often so cheap for run of the mill things, delivered to our door.
In case it makes any difference, that seller includes VAT in the final price and supplies a full VAT invoice with the item when it's delivered.
The wonders of local authority purchasing. I could buy it personally and sell it to them through petty cash but if it goes wrong they'll all moan about it. Plus the limitations of petty cash and the beady eye that would scrutinise staff receiving money for second hand goods. In case it makes any difference, that seller includes VAT in the final price and supplies a full VAT invoice with the item when it's delivered.
Really not worth it unless its a silly low price.
