How is it possible for a human to look like a dolphin? A dolphin doesn't have a head, face, or expressions - it should be physically impossible.

But it isn't.

Very peculiar.

Steve walked it tonight and glad that he won, that guy has some talent.

He was in another league.

yesAll 3 were good but only 1 was inspired. It's a shame, for his career at least, that he has a face for radio.smile

I think it is a credit to all three of them that during the finals week they made hardly any errors at all.

Well done to all of them and throw Marianne a fish.

I am going to miss Masterchef. I may even miss my daily battle with the schedulers who liked to put it on on differing days and times.

Very well deserved - he disappeared into the distance from the smoky starter dish for me, then just kept on going.

The challenge last night cooking for a room full of michelin stars was unbelievable - Most chefs would have other chefs prepping etc for them, but they made them do 30 plates from scratch and all to that standard, harsh!

In the final cook off, I worried that his main course was way too simple (especially by his standards) but he did it to perfection and the end result was a very well rounded menu IMO.

Shame the other guy fell apart at the last - what on earth was he thinking!?

Did anyone else notice that 'Really Really Dolphin woman' made the exact same 'salad' thing for one of her high profile clients - Nothing wrong with that, but she then served it up on master chef in the exact same way she gave it to a punter for a casual lunch, AND how many times did she have to be told what to do!

The only one who really 'got' the michelin standard thing was the guy who won - and rightly so!!!

Good show I thought with the right result!

Right bloke won.

Doubt any of the finalists will find future employment a struggle.

What next?

They all have to copy from somewhere.

As you will note when they did their very last cook off and all of a sudden gulls eggs are the new black.

I agree - but it's a bit rich when the judges are saying "wow, this dish shows his incredible creativity" when it's pretty much a direct copy of something he makes at work

I was assuming by this point they were taking all of his latter dishes into consideration, and I think he was by far the most innovative chef there, and with the ability to re-create (even if it is someone elses idea) a dish to perfection and possibly with a little cherry on top.

Likewise one of Daniel's best dishes - thinly sliced beetroot and goats cheese starter - was a carbon copy of a dish served at Maze restaurant.
