Attempting a 'healthy' BBQ tonight!
Discussion
Healthy BBQs can be much better than the standard bangers and burgers
Salmon and most other fish is incredible with some butter on and bbq
I love chicken thighs with cheese wrapped in bacon - pretty fatty but not processed
M&S have a fantastic bbq range, prawn skewers, salmon kebabs, the most amazing chicken shwarma king kebab which goes crispy, belly pork the best halloumi with a chilli glaze
But if you do love a burger, get their burger sauce, it tastes exactly like Big Mac sauce if that’s your thing
My hands down favourite is corn on the cob, butter and chilli, served with a good side salad

You put weight on from carbs and sugar, not fat.
Not that you're wrong to avoid processed meats on a regular basis mind, but the odd BBQ is fine.
You put weight on from consuming too many calories surely? Fat and carbs are higher in calories compared to protein but still not as evil as they are made out to be. Not that you're wrong to avoid processed meats on a regular basis mind, but the odd BBQ is fine.
My diet when trying to shift a load of weight in the first lockdown consisted of a lot of lean chicken breast and veg cooled on my trusty weber kettle. Switching the marinades helped to keep it interesting

Used my remaining turkey burger mix again tonight.
I’m in danger of preferring them to my usual beef burgers. Oh dear.

I refer to the episode where they have a 'cook off', gourmet Turkey burger vs a very basic beef burger. The health obsessed Turkey burger maker takes one bite of the Beef burger and says "oh, this is better"
"Turkey never beats cow, Chris"
It's funny. But not if you haven't seen it.

Any chance you're a parks and rec (TV show) fan?

I wouldn't say a total parrot, just in general people consider a beef burger much better/nicer than turkey.

The issue IMO is that sausages and burgers need a bit of fat, particularly chicken and turkey which can be dry and end up like sawdust.
I was surprised by how juicy my turkey burgers were even with the lowest fat mince option
