i'd love to taste snacks from the 1970s/80s. We'd assume they haven't changed much other than in size but i bet they'd be unrecognisable with all the sugar, salt and E numbers still in there! Monster munch, pot noodle etc!
Monster munch in particular are not as they were. The texture was far more dense and the roast beef were way stronger.Used to have different shapes in a bag that you would nibble the extremities off.
Halcyon days.
Tesco used to (until a couple of years ago) do these puffed crisps that were really spicy and *absolutely loaded* with MSG.
They were incredible. But Tesco stopped selling them, and I only knew them by their package being blue and white and where they were in the store - no name.
It has been a sad couple of years since...

Around 10 years ago Tesco had these jalapeno crisps on the shelves. They came with a sachet of chili powder, and my god were they amazing. Gradually over time they stopped including the sachet of chili powder which meant that they were just regular crisps, until eventually they discontinued them altogether. I still mourn for these crisps.
Any recommendations for something similar?

Something similar: Google 'Real Hand Cooked Jalapeno Pepper Crisps' .
