A very long time ago when I worked at Pizza hut we were asked for Tuna and Banana. Needless to say we had the Tuna but not the banana.

Steak and kidney (or substitute the kidney with black pudding) on a gravy rather than tomato base, sprinkled with crumbs of very mature cheddar.

My favourite french 'pizza' but unlikely to win any awards due to there only being two toppings and a heavy weighting on the taste of anchovies. Just one or two guests who aren't fans of anchovy and the award delivery fails. Best eaten cold too. All, obviously, IMHO.

Now that definitely falls under the category of alternative!

One takeaway I like used to offer a Persian pizza, can't recall the actual name annoyingly. It was a (to my experience/palate) uniquely spiced lamb mince with onions and broad beans. Quite nice.

I like pickles and pickled onions on mine I also pour malt vinegar and pepper on, maybe I'm addicted to vinegar

Brussels sprouts, pine nuts and garlic.

Garlic is finely minced and mixed with some olive oil, left to steep for a bit and then spread on the base. Sprouts are just sliced and put on with pine nuts and mozzarella. Grate a little parmesan over top.
