I was under the weather yesterday, so the other half cooked, barely had anything and no photos. I made this today though...

I took a fair bit of codeine to knock me out Christmas Eve, woke up so late Christmas Day could only be bothered to make a Pringle sandwich. Won’t be posting pictures of that rofl

Turkey and cranberry wellington (Jamie Oliver recipe). Welly made, potatoes par-boiled and frozen, and veggies prepped on Christmas Eve. Christmas day was just a case of shove it all in the oven at the right time. Never had such a stress free Christmas dinner.

Never ceases to amaze just how off the packaging cooking times are-no wonder Turkey has a reputation for being dry. This specimen was 4.8kg-only 6 for Xmas this year. The label stated 180 C for 3hrs 35m. Using an in oven probe set for 77 C, I hit that in 1hr 55. I left it in until showing 81C at 2hr 5m. It was perfect. Bronze M&S
