I go to Gabriel Machin in Henley on Thames - amazing butches, great seafood and other epicurean delights, including this locally made Honey.

Just had some on toast for breakfast.

Am I right in thinkingthe cells are where bee grubs are housed? Does this mean you are eating bee grubs as well as honey and a candle?

The hives are set up so that the queen is excluded from the part that the honey is harvested from - so no eggs, so no grubs.

My father and grandfather both kept bees until they developed diabetes in later life. Love a bit of honeycomb, you'll often find it for sale at farmers markets.

I got a jar a month or go with a big chunk of honey comb in it. I'd be inspired watching some Curious George cartoon with the little one and thought mmmmmmmm honey.

It tasted like a candle dipped in honey.

Do you need to do anything special to it before eating?
