It doesn't take long to peel and cut a potato. 5mins.
Why buy oven chips frozen?
I’d say nearer 2 mins. Oven chips are hateful things. Why buy oven chips frozen?
A Bag of decent spuds for £2 lasts a couple of weeks and makes such a variety of different end products / recipes. One of the most versatile and great ingredients there is.

because once you've peeled and cut the potato you need to heat a pan of oil to 170 degrees, fry the chips for around 8 minutes, take them out, cool them and dry them, then heat the pan of oil to 190 degrees and fry the cooled and dried chips for 2 more minutes. You then need to clean up the pan of oil (or leave it on the hob for 2 weeks until you next make chips)Why buy oven chips frozen?
