Once you've got past the gay jokes, what are new and interesting choices of soft drinks in pubs?

Being the drummer in the band means I drive most times to a gig and so end up drikning soft drinks for the night.

Coke gets tedious, as does lemonade. I started drinking orange juice+lemonade but even that'd getting tedious now also.

Is there anything weird and wonderful (especially strange concoctions) that you wonderful lovely people out there in PH land have tried?!

I'm sure there was a thread on this previously but I can't find it within the search - maybe it's 2+ yrs old.

Thanks world biggrin
Tony

I do sadly find that some alcohol free lagers , if ice cold , can make the evenings almost bearable.

On a summers day when out on the motorbike, theres nothing more refreshing than:

  • A pint of lime an soda, lots of lime and ice
or

  • an Orange and Passionfruit J20 in a pint glas, topped up with Lemonade and lots of ice.

How about J20? - there's quite a few different flavours.

It can get a bit sickly though...

I know what you mean I dont normally drink when out and it sucks theres nothing, and what there is is full of sugar anyway and destroys your teeth frown

J20 is nice but overpriced for what is essentially organge juice in a bottle tongue out

Yeah that's exactly what I think - you can only have 1, maybe 2 max in any one sitting!

Someone above though suggested J20 and then topped up with lemonade. That sounds like a superb idea!

I agree. Definitely my soft drink of choice.

Another vote for lime & soda from me, it has enough of a 'sharp' taste that you don't guzzle it like the sweeter juices or pop.

Local pub that I worked in used to serve a "Summer Breeze" - a 50/50 mix of fresh orange and cranberry juice over ice
