Varying opinions on decanting. Its meant to aerate the wine to improve flavour and aroma, but usually only useful in young wines.
Conversely, old wines may be damaged by overexposure to air, so decanting can actually detract.
Just my 2c
Not that any of them are sounding promising to drink... but I don't particularly want a mouth full of sediment. Conversely, old wines may be damaged by overexposure to air, so decanting can actually detract.

Perhaps stand them up for a bit and pour carefully?

Well, you'd have to do that to decant them anyway, so might as well just tip it straight into your mouth. Glass, I mean... Perhaps stand them up for a bit and pour carefully?
