Favourite Indian curry
Discussion
I love all the greasy, brown, sloppy curries! Tend to find the more 'upmarket' places do a dryer curry (tend to find curries down south are more dry too).
Favourites are:
Lamb bhuna
Lamb kharai
Chicken rogan josh
(Did you know rogan josh is basically a bhuna with a tomato sauce on top?)
Tried a weird lamb aschari made with fennel seeds - like a bhuna but with fennel flavour! Not a favourite but interesting

Lamb Sagwala is mine.
Most Indian restaurants have a basic curry gravy/sauce thing in a big pot, this is the base for all their currys so for Rogan Josh just bung some tomatoes in.

I know what u mean about sauce -
Can be a real let down - three of us went for a lamb bhuna, lama kharai and lamb balti -
Totally different descriptions but tasted very similar!
At a good curry house too
