Not sure if I've got the spelling right, but I'm after a suggestion for fish to use in this mexican marinated fish dish.

My wife and used to love it, but some years ago we had an unsettling experince; the acid that the cod was marinating in brought the parasitic worms out. Pretty unappetising, seeing those things waving away at you.

We binned it and haven't had it since.

Apparently cod is often full of these worms which are killed in cooking; can anyone suggest an alternative fish that doesn't have these parasitic worms that will marinate well?

Did the squid and monkfish soften down enough? I would imagine they could be a bit tough?

Monkfish sounds good.

I think I'll try that and the herring.
