storing wine

i was in tesco at the weekend and they have loads of £10-15 bottles at half price, so I bought half a dozen red's [extra 5% off for 6 bottles] and will likely buy another half dozen before the offers end.

i live alone so its likely these will be with me a while. at the moment they are stood on end in a cupboard until i find a wine rack i like.

with most wine being screw top these days, do i have to bother doing anything particular to store them or can i just keep them upright in the cupboard? a few say they can be kept for upto 2 yrs but its likely they'll be empty come december.

they have a huge amount of offers of wine so it may be genuine, or maybe as you say, but the sheer range makes me think [hope] they're legit. they sometimes have fire sales on beer which i;ve never had a problem with [hic].

had most of one bottle last night. i'm far from being a wine afficionado but this was lovely. 2006 cru de beaujolias - moulin a vents i think it was called. half price at £6 a bottle at tesco, get there before i do else there'll be none left
