Outskirts of Birmingham - Suggestions for Dinner

I'm staying in a hotel this evening on the outskirts of Birmingham (postcode: B35 7AF) and was looking for a half way decent place for dinner tonight.

Not looking for anything overly expensive - I was thinking around a tenner for a main or similar and wanted some suggestions??

Don't fancy Indian, other than that fairly relaxed.

Any local knowledge??

We ate in the place next to the hotel last night, but I was wondering about going a bit further afield??

They are prettty good food, i tend to go to another of their restaurants in oldbury. They are good and a nice change. Chain is connected to Ken Hom.

Another option is a number of pubs in coleshill which is not far.

Fair enough - will consider the Chinese.

Any **nice** pubs in Coleshill?? Drove near there yesterday and not far at all.

Cheers for the suggestion GG - ate there last night (great rack of ribs!! ). Just didn't really fancy eating there again if I'm honest!! I like a bit of variety.

Good suggestion. If only it was closer!! I won't be able to leave here until around 7:45 at the earliest so will get there quite late. Have looked it up and I would like to get there early if I'm going. I may go (on my own!!) on Friday though!!

Nandos - maybe a good idea - Will check out where they are. Stab/Star city?? (I don't know the area at all!! But you're not really selling it to me!! LOL)

With that in mind you're best bet is to follow the A38 into the city and follow the signs for Brindley Place or if you want a drink then get a cab down to the Grimstock in Coleshill.

Failing that grab a quick twofer at the Jester and spend the rest of your evening inhaling paint fumes from the Jag works whilst pressed against the glass at the Lambo dealers round the corner.

Tell me about it!! Nearest hotel to where we need to be though!! Drove past the Lambo and Bentley dealer(s) last night and they did look a tad out of place!!

I guess going into town is going to be the best bet, just take a while getting there/back.

After all that, you'll never guess where "we" decided to go!!

Stab City in the end!!

The idea was to have pizza hut and then go and play mini golf, but as she was working late (well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ) we didn't get to golf in time!!
