Have any fellow Pistonheader’s been to see the Classic Rock Show?

They are currently embarking on 2024 UK tour, followed by dates in the US.

A talented bunch including some internationally acclaimed musicians. I have a keen interest, as my brother Tim is the drummer!

Give em’ a watch on YouTube - plenty of videos.

Saw them in Norwich a few years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Good variety of music so pretty much something for everyone. Rumours of Fleetwood Mac are part of the same management stable I think. I did notice Jess Harwood in both shows having seen the Rumours lot the previous year.

Yes, twice and I loved it. Brilliant musicians and a great atmosphere. Given the talent the tickets are a bargain, highly recommended.

Been twice and loved it.
Going to Cardiff next week.
Music buff mate went last time prepared to be underwhelmed-in fact quite the opposite.

Wonderful musicians.

Well worth a ticket IME.

Having watched my younger brother play ‘pots & pans’ at age 4, through to the finished article you see ‘tub thumping’ with The Classic Rock Show, it makes me proud.

They are all musicians right at the top of their craft, and do a fantastic job of accurately recreating the sound of some legendary Rock artists. Well worth going to see!

Also, James Cole, who heads-up CRS, was once a regular in the BTCC, so there’s a PistonHead connection! driving

It was his first live gig and we both loved it, even bought the cd!

I didn't know that was the same guy! :O

I went to see the show just before lockdown in 2020 at Birmingham Town Hall, was an amazing night topped for me by an incredible cover of the full version of Bat Out Of Hell. If you get chance, go and see it!

Off to see them for fourth time at the Lowry on 1st Feb.

Excellent show.

They have videos of originals on in background sometimes. They are note perfect.

Well worth a visit.

Took my son last year and he really enjoyed it as his first concert. Since then he has seen GnR, Royal Blood and QOTSA.

Heading over to Cambridge tonight to see the Classic Rock Show. I’ve seen them several times before, always a very good gig.

Tim is a brilliant drummer, incredibly so. Fascinating to watch.

Jess was the vocalist the first time someone suggested watching the CRS on YouTube. Massive talent.

All the band seem so open and not at all prima donna types.

I heard that this tour was going to have less ‘soft rock’ so no Toto, REO Speedwagon or Jess doing Total Eclipse which I like.

Still utterly stunning. Predicting a brilliant night out!

I’m glad you enjoyed your night with the CRS.
My brother is a frustrated ‘front man’, so naturally puts some extra performance into his drumming.
They were doing Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills in the set list this year. This was one song I vividly remember him playing along to in his bedroom when we were kids. Practice pays off! smile

They do seem a good bunch of humans on stage, although I’ve not met them in person. You know what these artistic types are like, normally miserable / depressed when off stage!! laugh

Excellent gig at Cambridge on Sat, we really enjoyed the show again. As an aside regarding Iron Maiden I went to the same school as Bruce Dickinson, he was the year below me but unfortunately he was kicked out before he completed his time there.

Was supposed to be going on Tuesday (6th Feb) in Guildford, but no longer able due to work. Was looking forward to some live music.

The two tickets I had are up for resale….. I lowered the ticket price to account for the fees, so they come out at cost price. Was virtually sold out when I bought them.

I've seen them about 4 times I think

The first time I think they were a bit flat, times 2 and 3 really good and the 4th time again a bit flat

Each time they had a slightly different line up so it depends who is there TBH.

Howie G who was one of their former guitar players was amazing.

Saw them last night in London.
Excellent show again. Added some new songs to the set since last year's tour which keeps it fresh.
